A luxurious blend of healthy oils using a high percentage (60%-70%) of our farm-grown California Hass Avocado oil. Our rich green, thick, Extra-Virgin Avocado Oil is cold-pressed by hand using only grade-A fruit pulp (no skins or seed). Coconut oil is added for its cleansing properties and to extend the life (hardness) of the bar, and a small percentage of extra-virgin olive oil to extend the silky/creamy feeling. Very lightly scented with coconut fragrance oil, and a pinch of finely ground dried avocado seed is added as a mild exfoliant.
For those knowledgeable about handmade soaps, we process everything below temperatures of 115F to prevent gel phasing and loss of the avocado nutrients. The coconut scent oil (only 1 drop per bar) is added to neutralize the avocado scent and should not be objectionable to those allergic to scented soaps.
Available in a "natural" silky-matte finish or "rustic" (re-milled) finish. Comes in a lightweight handmade box making it a great gift item.

Frequently asked Questions:
1: How much avocado oil is used?
Answer: Many avocado soaps on the market use low percentages of "pure" avocado oil and advertise its benefits. What most consumers don't realize is that "pure" is one of the lowest grades of avocado oil (see avocado oil link.) and lacks many of the most desirable nutrients. Our goal was to pack as much nutrients as possible into our bars. It takes 4 to 5 fresh avocados to make a bar of our soap using only the best (first press) extra-virgin oil. When we tested bars with percentages higher than 80% extra-virgin avocado oil, they were too soft, not cleansing, and quickly melted into the sink making it a poor customer value. We state 60%-70% because the percentage varies depending on the fruit's ripeness, ambient temperature, and humidity when we make our batches. Our simple blend is the result of a lot of testing and has exceptional characteristics.
